2017 acrylic on board
30 x 40 cm (12 x 15.5 inches)
This street runs south from City Road, a long and diagonal thoroughfare that links Angel Islington and Old Street. This part of town features tall modern high rises and urban clearings interspersed with early Victorian streets..
My painted scene features a parking area with lock up garages lit up by an orange tinted lamp and a cold white LED light.
The two vehicles seem to face off against each other, as if to mark boundaries.
This painting features in the 2017 ING Discerning Eye exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London, 16-26 November.
It also features in my online interview with BLOGCRITICS.ORG
